Porcelanosa Training Win for PTP

PTP Training & Marketing, which has a Leicester head office has won a contract to provide sales training for the staff of Porcelanosa's new flagship store in Fulham which will open shortly. The in-house programmes centre on improving sales techniques and enhancing customer relationships for the new staff and will cover issues such as - The Art of Retail Selling, Closing the Sale and Dealing with Objections.

Staff at the new Porcelanosa store, which specialises in Spanish influenced wall and floor tiles and kitchen and bathroom products will also be trained in other business disciplines including time management. The programmes, which take place this autumn in Croydon, South London involve the full spectrum of staff who will be working in the Fulham store including the management team, sales assistants and the kitchen and bathroom designers.

The small group training will be given by two of PTP's senior training consultants - Tracey Richards and Peter Johnson. Marc Holland, managing director of PTP Training & Marketing says he is delighted to be working alongside Porcelanosa and comments: "We are pleased to be providing the sales training for the various personnel at this key store. Porcelanosa is committed to providing extensive training for its staff not only to increase their own personal effectiveness and professionalism but also to reflect the quality ethos of the store. This is the first time that we have worked with Porcelanosa. However early successes in our Autumn training programmes have led to further talks regarding rolling out the training programmes throughout the South East. We are hopeful that we can develop a dynamic training partnership with Porcelanosa to ensure the skills of its store staff are second to none."

Patricia Wheeler, HR Director of Porcelanosa comments: "It is our aim to become the employer of choice in our industry. Consequently our people are our most important assets and Porcelanosa is investing significantly in staff training and development. We are looking to take this strategy forward in 2005 and working with PTP to set up the "Porcelanosa Academy of Excellence".

This will be a groundbreaking development in skills training for the company and one we are confident will greatly enhance individual and company performance."
