Trainer establishes Leeds base

PTP Training and Marketing Ltd is rolling out a full schedule of courses in Leeds for the first time in response to requests from the company's national clients who have northern branches.

Marc Holland, PTP managing director says: "Our national clients told us it would benefit them operationally if we were to provide training in the north of England, specifically Yorkshire. So we responded, piloting several courses in Leeds over the past six months. Looking at the response we can see a real opportunity for us to provide our distinctive courses here. They're all very practical and highly interactive. We guarantee delegates won't get bored, although they might get exhausted."

BRS Truck Rental's James Walker says: "We've been making extensive use of PTP to provide training to our staff and have a preference for it to be provided at venues closer to where we operate from. I'm delighted PTP is now up and running in Leeds."

Since formation in 1991 PTP has grown to provide training, marketing and consultancy services to major clients scattered across the UK including Hewlett-Packard, Ford, Virgin, Marks and Spencer, BRS, Ladbrokes, MGM and Otis Lifts. Servicing their needs now means travelling the length of the country, from Plymouth to Scotland.

Mr Holland adds: "Operating in Leeds means people from across the north of England will be able to attend courses much more easily than at our centres in Leicester and London."

PTP has scheduled over the next twelve months in excess of 100 open courses in Leeds, London and Leicester. Training is provided across several key business activities including sales, marketing, management and customer care.

In Spring PTP ran the first specifically tailored telesales course for accountants to take advantage of the liberalization of professional rules allowing them to use the telephone to prospect for new business. Delegates on the course, which was sold out, participated in live calls to prospective clients, a regular and innovative feature of many of PTP's courses.
